But first, let me just toot my own little horn and say that I'm only 17 comments away from Iron Commenter. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get it done! (Granted, I'm getting very little else done...including getting my house ready and packing for a weeklong trip!) But I have found some great blogs...amazing, inspiring, funny, hopeful, sad. Just really great women (and a few men) that I am excited to read along with. And I have also enjoyed a lot of great comments and conversations, so thank you all to have stopped by and subscribed!
Now, for the next tip! Frugalista Tip #2: Never Pay Pull Price! I do try to live by this, but sometimes there just have to be exceptions. (Coach, I'm talkin' to you!) For the most part, though, this is just a really good rule. There's nothing worse (shopping-wise) than buying a fabulous new item only to see two days later that it's on sale! That's why this goes so nicely with Tip #1, because if you Shop Often, you will Never Pay Full Price!
Here's my most recent supersale. When I got word that Old Navy was having 50% off of their lowest clearance prices, I told J that he was going with me and there would be NO whining! We got there and found some absolutely fabulous deals!!
Check out that pricetag! Even better when you consider that it was an additional 50% off! (Those little red stickers with even littler prices make my heart do pitter pattery flip flops!)
And here are a few of my fabulous finds...
I'm a big fan of dresses. I could live in them all summer. Also a big fan of belts and shoes...and accessories in general! These dresses were all between $1.50 and $3.50. We ended up getting J some jeans, khakis, 2 or 3 sweaters, a pair of gym pants, a few other random t-shirts, a wool coat, myself all that is seen here plus another cardigan (because, hello, I love them!), and little polos for a friend who is adopting from Ethiopia. We spent $85. I think we got 18 items. SO much stuff for less than $100 and much more rewarding knowing we didn't pay full price for any of it!
Happy Sunday, all! Any exciting plans for the week?
Me?-Here's my week in bullets:
- I'm hoping to have AF show up. Dr. Miracles said he likes it to happen around 6 weeks after the D&C and this coming Thursday will be 6 weeks. I'm so anxious for her to show and to get started again.
- I leave for Florida on Tuesday. I'll be working during the week and then J and his mom are meeting me and we're going to spend a nice SUNNY weekend near the water with his grandpa. We haven't been seeing much sunshine here in good 'ole Indiana, so I'm pretty excited.
- My goal is to work out at least 4 nights this week. And to eat well. I've got to get back on the low amylose bandwagon.
