Happy (Belated) Thanksgiving!

I just wanted to say a quick note to all of you to say HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

My heart is seriously bursting this year. I've got so much to be thankful for, and I truly am thankful for all of it!

But...

All holidays make my heart a little heavy. I thought of so many of you, my dear blog friends, who don't yet have your wish. I thought of you all and prayed for you. I know how hard it is. After enduring year after year of holidays where you think...next year! Next year will be my year! And then when that next year rolls around and it hasn't been your year... I remember those days.

My heart hurts for you. I hope that those of you who are still waiting were able to enjoy the holiday and take comfort in your marriage and your family. Know that you are thought of and prayed for.

My heart was also heavy because last Thanksgiving is when we announced to our family that we were pregnant with Mya. I made cute little turkey and acorn placecard holders with "Grammy," and "Auntie," and "Cousin Griffin," etc. on them (which we put out after our announcement). We prepared a beautiful meal and I was truly glowing. We got together for what everyone thought was a family picture, but actually J had hit the video record button, and then when he came back to the group, he counted, "1, 2, 3," and then yelled, "Everyone say, Christina's PREGNANT!" It took a few minutes for everyone to digest it, but it was such a sweet and magical day. We were so happy. It was only a week later that we found out our sweet girl had stopped growing. So I think I'll always remember that Thanksgiving fondly, but also sadly.

Obviously I've got my little miracle in my arms, and I'm beyond thankful for her. The holiday was beautiful and complete with her here. But I just wanted you all to know that I thought of you and still think of you. May next year really be YOUR year!!

What a great idea with the video :) It would be a great way to capture the look on everyone's face as they fully comprehended what was just said :)
