how I got my Bjorn for FREE!

First, have you entered my giveaway yet?! If not, be sure to see the post below this one and enter enter enter!!

I had to share this fabulous steal that I got! So we inherited an Eddie Bauer baby carrier from my sister. It's fine, it's not the most comfortable thing in the universe, or the cutest, which means I haven't used it all that much, but it's been fine.

I've been coveting this adorable green Bjorn at Target for a long time, and I almost registered for it, but it seemed a little silly since we already had one.  But when I went with my friend to register, I convinced her that she needed it! It's too cute to pass up! And of course when I was shopping for her shower gift, it was the first thing I picked up! It was clearanced at the time for like $55. Well, it turns out that someone ordered one for her on Amazon and didn't remove it from her registry, so she got two. I told her she shouldn't have a problem returning it, but I had the receipt if she did.

Fast forward to three days ago and she tried to return it but they were only going to give her $21 in store credit for it! I told her to hang onto it and I'd go with her so she could get the $55 back.

And since we were there, I thought I'd see if they'd let me turn around and re-buy it. I know they have rules about price adjustments on clearanced items, but I thought it was worth a try. Sure enough, the girl had no problem with that!

Buuutttt...then....I also had a 50-pack of Medela nursing bags to return (switching to Lansinoh because they're half the price and hold twice as much milk) as well as a duplicate gift that I just received. So my return was like $40 and the carrier was only $21!

HOLY cow! Freeeee!! Even for $21, this thing is so comfortable!
And the little bird loves it so much. It's still pretty cold here but the dogs and I have been so antsy, so we decided to take a walk this afternoon.  I bundled her way up in her big cozy snowsuit, added another hat and pulled her hood up so she was toasty. She was asleep before we even left the driveway! It felt so good to get out of the house for a while, breathe some fresh air and let the dogs run off some energy!

And then she was in it all night tonight and just loved it! She even ate dinner at the table with us (again, she was asleep). So exciting!
