Big Sister Wren!?

Maayyybe...soon!

But before you freak...I'm NOT pregnant.

Not yet at least.

But...now that Wren is almost 8 months, it's time to start thinking about baby number two.

So?

Back on the saddle. Soon.

I was sort of hoping that I could just start my existing pack of Glumetza up and get it refilled pretty easily. It expired in April, but I feel like medicine doesn't "really" expire...especially not 2 months after the date on the jar. But I started it, thinking it would be okay. It was fine, but I don't think it was really working. I had zero side effects, which, to be honest, I kind of like having because they keep me on track with my diet.

So I got online to refill my script and discovered that, though I had 3 more refills left, they cancel it after a year. So no go there either.

So I called Dr. Miracles, hoping I'd be able to just get it filled. But she said he would want to see me. He's out of the office for 3 weeks, so the first I could get in is the 26th of July.

At that point, I'm hoping to go back on the Glumetza, start the low amylose diet, and I will start watching my cycles more closely. *Note: I've only had 1 real cycle since Wren was born due to nursing.*

From there, we have a trip to Mexico in September, and it's all inclusive, with 2 other couples, so we decided we'd wait to officially start TTC'ing until after that trip. That way I can indulge in the limitless booze (not that I will...I talk a big game and usually end up drinking like 3 a day...lame), seafood, and possibly an excursion of ziplining or something fun.

And then? I'm hoping, given my past experience on Glumetza, that if I spend July and August preparing my body, that it won't take us too long to conceive. I would like to lose about 20 pounds, if not 30. This is actually quite doable on the diet.

So that's the plan. Now I am off to treat myself to a turtle sundae...gotta get them in while I can!!

  3. We're going to start TTC next month. It's feels so weird to be planning to get back into this from where we are ... TTC #2 is going to be different than #1, I think. I want it just as much, but I feel more hopeful since we were successful once. And for some reason that hopefulness is scary.

  5. You could take some cinnamon supplements until you get the pills you need. I took them for a month before conceiving. Research it a bit. Good luck!
