I’m really into all of the fun felt and yarn wreaths that are popping up all over Pinterest.
I posted last month with one that I did for Wren’s nursery door and one that I did as a birthday gift.
I also made myself a fall one, but I didn’t complete it until the week of Thanksgiving, so I’ll be happy to pull it back out last week. (See the video below if you’d like to see what it looked with, along with a little sneak peak of our still-in-progress foyer!
But I am spending this whole weekend getting all prepped for Christmas. I am really excited to have all of our decorations out and up. I got some good deals on yarn and the wreath yesterday during Black Friday sales, so I whipped this wreath up while watching Love Actually. (It’s our annual tradition–we watch that while putting the tree up, only this year Josh just assembled the tree and we didn’t want to decorate til W was up to enjoy.)
Anyway, I was excited to have it completed and hung. I am loving how it turned out.
I was inspired by THIS pin. It was so easy and really cheap. Here’s the breakdown:
Wreath: $4.99, used 40% coupon for a total of $2.99.
Yarn: Each roll was $7.99 (bought 2 rolls), but I only used 1/2 of each roll for a total of $7.99
The sprig of cranberries was $1.27 and 50% off for a total of $.64
I had the felt for the flower on hand for a total of $0.
Final Total: $11.62!
Gotta say, that’s a pretty good deal for a unique, personalized welcome into our home for the holidays!
